I personally dont agree with abortion, only if you are raped but givin up an unplanned child is wrong you shouldn't take their lives away it isn't their fault there is other methods such as adoption what are your opinions?

First, Pronk, those thousands of kids you claim are in states custody are not babies. They have little to no problem anywhere in the US finding homes for newborns to 9 months old. It matters not the color of the child or often even if the child has mild medical issues. They have families who wait on list for years to get a newborn, any newborn!!! The children you refer to are the older children, usually 5 and above who come with issues such as mental and emotional problems. While, yes, it is sad that they are in states custody, if their mothers would have seen at their birth that she was unable to care for them and placed them with a loving married couple who want nothing more than to raise a baby, they would not be in the bind they are in now. Yes adoption is not as easy asordering a big mac but it shouldn't be!
Now, to the original question, I think that abortion, even in the case of rape, shouldbe illegal!

You know what's crazy? The waiting rooms of abortion clinics are FULL of people who say, "I don't believe in abortion" and then explain why THEIR situation is different than everyone else's.
Until 14 weeks, it's no one else's business but the parents', and abortion should be unrestricted.
Yes, there is adoption, and it should be encouraged. But carrying a baby is hard, even when you WANT it and have a good support network. An unwanted one can have lifelong consequences for a woman, educationally and financially, even if she gives the baby up for adoption.
Every child should be a wanted child, and abortion should be safe, legal, and RARE.

I absolutely agree with you. I don't think abortion is the right way to go, unless you are raped then it becomes different. If you want to have sex and not use any protection at all then you must be willing to accept responsibility for your actions. It is not the fault of the unborn baby so why should they be punished. I personally class it as a form of murder, but everyone has a right to there own opinion.

if society starts leaning on abortions then that would just make teen pregnacies increase because they would just say i don't care if i get pregnant i'll just get an abortion. i also think the day after pill is wrong as well. it is killing a baby, well doctors would say it is not a baby. well if it wasnt a baby then you werent pregnant and there is no need for the pill. the adoption process is not right either but it is better than being dead. the government should improve it, but bush's thoughts are elsewhere(Iraq...)

I agree with you. If you don't want the child go with adoption. It's not the child's fault it was brought into this world. Give the innocent child a chance at life. There are plenty of people in this world that depends on adoption if they can't have kids

I thin k abortion should be illegal. Why kill an innocent child. I had my son last week and everytime I look into his eyes I thank the Lord for giving me the most precious gift he could ever give me. All unborn children deserve a chance to live.

i dont agree with abortion any time. it is illegal in the Lord's eyes. a baby should not have to be killed for any reason. give it so someone else if you don't want it.

Kids put up for adoption go through hell in most states. Here in Ohio we have at least 25,000 children in state custody at any one time. Adoption takes forever with all the red tape too.

i am 3 months pregnant mine was unplpanned but im keeping it...people who dont use protection know the conquences.......all u have to do it strap!!!!!!!!!!!!!i think abortion should be illegal.........why kill a living baby?
