Definitely go to the theme parks. Since you said you will be there in December, don't miss all the holiday events at the parks.

Here are good sites full of things to do in Orlando:

Here is a link to the disneyworld.com special events page (I recommend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party if you are traveling with kids):

Disneyworld is a must! You can also visit Universal Studios Islands of Adventure (they have great coasters), Sea World, Rippley's Believe It or Not Museum, Kennedy Space Center and of course -- the beach!

I recommend Sista Key Beach: Sarasota: about 1 hr 40 minute drive south from Orlando and Cocoa Beach, located about 45 min - 1 hr from Orlando, headed toward the West coast, near Kennedy Space Center.

Have fun!

If going with kids, take in the usual - Disney parks, Sea World, and Universal Studios.

However, if just mature adults, try the following:

* Universal Citywalk
* Restaurants on Sand Lake West of I-4: Roys, Timpano's, Samba Room, Antonio's, and/or Christini's - all awesome.
* Blue Martini for live music and night life later (dress code)

Have fun here.

There is plenty to do in Orlando. I've been there in December and it's really beautiful. There is Disney World, Sea World, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios. Maybe see a show like Dolly Pardons Dixie Stampede. Try www.google.com
and type in things to do in Orlando. Good luck and have fun.

Rent a car and go see the real Florida. Go to the beach and drive down A1A and just take in the beautiful countryside, all the wonderful birds and trees. When you go to the beach ask a native Floridians where you can go see manatees. There is so much more to see than the amusement parks.
Have fun and take alot of pictures.

Of course Disney is the place to go. I do not care for Universal Studios. Ripleys is really cool. They also have Great outlet mall shopping. Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney are a must!!

Kinda like being in a candy shop.

I do not know how long you are going to be there for but here are my suggestions:

Disney, stay at one of there economy resorts and you get free transportation to all Disney parks. (hint go to Disney Homepage and join and you get better deals) I suggest 3 days to take most of it in.

Universal Studios, they do not have any budget lodgings like Disney but you can stay close at some of the hotels in the areas for real good deals at this time of the year. I suggest 2 days and you will see all of it. (if you can swing it stay in one of their hotels, more money but worth it.)

The last day check out Sea World.

Check out Budget Travel .com it is free to join and they give allot of suggestions and good points to save a buck and reviews of the major attractions around the world.
