Fresh air and a quality medicated powder.
Whenever you change your baby's diaper let him/her stay naked for awhile to air out the rash and make sure it's dry. Moisture is the best friend of a diaper rash.
Once the baby has had sufficient time to have some fresh air then make sure you use a good quality of medicated powder on the diaper area, between the two, it should help a lot toward clearing up the rash.
Good luck to you and your baby.

Best thing for diaper rash is to soak that little bottom in a bath with baking soda. Dry gently, apply a good coating of A&D Ointment. Prevention is key....diaper rash forms because bacteria from bowel movements is left on the skin even after you think you have cleaned very well. Some of those wipes are not even damp enough to clean. Using A&D Ointment puts a barrier between baby's skin and stool/urine.
This was the only thing we used in Peds when I was a nurse.

Air the skin whenever possible. Barrier creams work well, ie. Penaten or Zincofax, but I found a cream in a health food store designed for diaper rashes and it has Calendula in it. It was a bit more expensive but it worked great. If the rash becomes very red and tender, bring baby to the doctor, sometimes they need a little more than what can be bought over the counter.
