I had my tonsils out when I was 5 and when I went back to kindergarten I wore a long blond wig. When the kids asked me why my hair was so long I told them it was the medicine. Can you believe my mom let me go on the bus with a big blond wig on? God bless her.

I read an old letter that my mother had written my grandmother, probably 52 years ago. She describes how, at a Girl Scout meeting that my sister was in,and Mom was the leader,Mom asked everyone to say the Pledge of Alligeance. Apparently I ,being VERY young, thought no one was suppose to touch the flag. I held the flag,marching around the room singing the Marine Corps Hymn at the top of my lungs. ( Years later, my beloved brother became a United States Marine. )

My mom told me this, as i can honestly not remember a thing from when I was little... My mom used to put tissues in her bra, because we both had hay fever. She used to be able to produce a tissue at the best of moments. Except for once when she told me that she did not have a bra on - so she could not help me with a tissue... One evening some guy she liked came to visit her... My nose was in need of some blowing... so I walked up to her pointed at her chest ans said: "Are you wearing a bra?" (I thought I'd not waste time by asking for tissues and then getting explanations) She was SO embarrassed.
