"Won't Get Fooled Again", the Who. I got so massively brainwashed by my affluent family and social class growing up, plus the lies of conventional American society that are ever-present, that I will try my best to not get fooled again!

I believe the best song of all time is Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin... incendiary guitar performance by Jimmy Page, haunting vocals by Robert Plant... it doesnt get any better.

My close second sounds like a cop out picking the beatles... but Instant Karma by John Lennon is fantastic, not only vocals but the drum parts are very good.

I agree with you about the loud banging!

One of my all-time faves, which I will submit for this question, is "The Devil and the Wishing Well" by Five for Fighting. Aside from a fabulous singer, the song features a complete story. The music is great and it's really evocative of a lot of things too.
