I am looking at buying an electronic drum kit and think that the Roland ones seem the best but i need to know the pros and cons.

I have never used the Roland V-Drums, but I have used the Yamaha XPRESS. It is about $600 cheaper, and it does have a responsiveness to how hard you hit it. The snare pad has 2 zones for rim, and snare. The cymbal pads that come with the kit have 2 zones as well. It comes with a 1 yr warranty.

I had to return the control module because it was defective, and have not had a problem with it since then..

I wanted to get the roland because it actually has drums with skins on them, not just the impact pads that yamaha uses.

both kits come with variable voices for all of the pads.

It depends on what you are going to do with it, and what your price range is.

Good luck with your kit.

personally I play my vintage Vista-lites. It is much easier to get the sounds that you desire from an acoustic Hi-Hat though.

through fact you could not get a regular acoustic kit than an digital kit is a robust thank you to bypass. save in mind that they are going to nonetheless make noise, in simple terms not as loud as an acoustic kit. An digital kit is in simple terms a variety of drum kit. it rather is reminiscent of a custom pad kit yet with the potential to apply headphones with genuine drum sounds. Many drummers use complete digital kits, extraordinarily in situations the place an acoustic kit isn't functional.
