Here's a great link that tells all about Indian Shores...what to do from swimming, shelling, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and fishing to renting jet skis, wave runners or powerboats. It lists the beaches, and more.

I would recommend you avoid Pinellas county completely (and the Tampa Bay area in general, for that matter).

There is absolutely nothing there to see or do. The beaches are not nearly as nice as the east coast Atlantic beaches. That area has the worst traffic in Florida, the rudest people in Florida, the highest number of cases of STD's, the ugliest women in the state...

Live there, beach, Guppys, Clearwater Beach, 2 miles north. Minature golf, Sheperds, Shells.....Pretty quiet, we like it this way. Uh, excuse me, just got back from the East coast, noisey, beaches are nasty, over crowded , was suppose to go for a week, after 2 1/2 days left for the Beautiful, unspoiled beaches, West Coast. Much nicer, unless your into, that type of, umm, life style.

Go north to Honeymoon Island and you might see some dolphins, go south over the Sunshine Skyway ( one of the world,s top ten bridges ) and visit Anna Marie Island, west of Bradenton. Or for a really cool beach go to Sanibel and Captiva Islands down south and collect the fantastic shells there. Got room in your suitcase you lucky devil!!!!
