on geocitites ive done my site but it still says my site isnt readyt when i go to veiw it why?

why does it do that how can i get it up and runnin on the net

How long ago did you upload your site? If you tried to look at your site immediately after uploading it, there is sometimes a delay at the server end before the pages can actually be viewed.

However, if more than 24 hours have passed since you tried to upload the site, I would contact Geocities for advice. I've not used Geocities myself but someone else answering your question may be able to help further.
