Yes. Despite popular ignorance and a lack of national pride in actually placing human beings on the surface of another planetoid, it did happen.
I watched it happen on TV when I was young and every time someone says it was a hoax it is one of two types of people:
Those that are too stupid to understand the science involved - they can't figure it out and are too lazy to take actual classes in physics and astronomey. They rely on misinformation and poor science to justify their stands.
There are also those who make money off of selling the idea.

That depends on who you ask. I saw a documentary on the history channel where some scientist and historians claim that it was all a hoax. They point out things like the American flag they left on the moon. With no air on the surface, how does the flag "wave"? They also look at the legs of the landing craft and point out that there is no dust or dirt on the feet of the ship. If it landed on the surface, wouldn't it stir up some dust?Makes you wonder doesn't it?

If they didn't then this was the most elaborate hoax in history. I wasn't on the rocket, so I can say first hand. However, I think there is enough evidence to be relatively certain that they made it.

yes, they did and soon other people will be able to buy a ticket to travel to the moon. (I mean in 20 years).
