Ok, I have been called a racsist, most white people have. Now I'm gonna point out something fast:
Black people have their own college fund for black people. If white people had a white college fund, would that be racsist?
Black people have BET, Black Entertainment Television. If white people have CET, Caucasian Entertainment Television, would that be racsist?
Some Black people can call us whitey, The Man, honkey, and it seems to be acceptable. But once you say N1gg@r or sp00k, you're racsist.
Some Blacks claim that NYC police are racsist in regards to the law as 70% of accused criminals are black. Well in a city of 70% black people, its not state law thats against you, its the law of probability.
I am not a racsist, i think most racsist people are idiots, this includes homophobes and antisemetics, but I just do not understand how we can be racsist when they have so many more rights than we do.

responding to someone who responded.....
"perspective" means the way people see things.
well "perceive" means how a person sees it
neither word means how things really are...
It's a well known fact that If someone wants to start an argument all they do is put a spin on things...the spin being the way they see things. The spin is why the arguments continue. If people (blacks) would wake up and take a good look they would see things have really changed over the years and are now working in their favor. But they still want to argue. Could it be they just like to argue? Do they have a hidden agenda? I mean like in New Orleans they were given huge sums of money. I'm sure most used it for housing, food, etc. but they gave themselves a bad name by some spending it on prostitutes and name brand clothing, and gambling it away, and on drugs, and got jailed for fraud. How could the USA hard working people (all races and nationalities) be called racist when everyone went out of their way to help the people of Katrina? By the way the statistics say HALF of the Katrina victims were white, and half were black. They were not all black as the tv pictures showed.

I must say that growing up in the south and being white I was automatically labeled racist. I am not. I grew up really good friends with black people. And I'm tired of people stereotyping all the white people.
Little known facts:
-Tulsa Ok, started out as the first "all black city", obviously its not.
-There were almost as many white slaves if not more, than black slaves.
-Blacks started the slave trade. Whites Europeans just saw a way to get a trade embargo going.

Hi,
I am white. I see what you are saying, and many white people have thought it, if not said it before.
However, if you want to really understand racism from a Black/African-American perspective. You should really look into "white priviledge" There are many essays on the subject and websites.
I included one below. These are things that whites do not think of on a daily basis. But, they are things that blacks deal with everyday...from childhood. Just check it out, and you will come to a new understanding.
It is a societal problem...as well as cultural. I wish we all could get along, and love/embrace our differences...but there is a lot of baggage, that will not and should not be forgotten... as to forget...is to leave a chance that it would happen again.
Hope all is well,
Stephanie

The answer above me is the stupidest thing I have heard today....
First beleive it or not for the disaster it was DC responded at a quick rate. I know it may not look like it was but it was. If anyone should be blamed for NO it should be the city and state goverment. They were the ones that wanted to put money into tourist coming in rather then keeping the people in the city safe and they didnt tell people to evacuate till the last minute....
Now on to the question. I agree with you 100%. I think the way things are going we are going to see things go back to how they were in the 60s and so on. No it will not completely go back to how it was and it might not happen in our life span but if things keep going this way then it is going to turn into the fact that other races other then African American are going to think they dont have equal rights and the whole circle will start over again.
Thats just my 2 cents though

I like the way you are trying to think these issues through. If you keep an open mind, you will see as you get older, that blacks are discriminated against, that everybody's a bit of a racist, and that there are whiners in all groups. People who are disadvantaged tend to whine more, because they have reason to. Sometimes people have so many things going against them that they cannot bootstrap. Many people just need a helping hand. i say this from the perspective of someone who has many economic advantages, but I have thought about this for a while.

We're at the point where we're seeing more and more anti-white sentiment...I think a lot of effort and energy and money have been put into making things 'equal opportunity' but now the pendulum's swinging the other way, and the apologists are pushing it with everything they've got. Enough is enough, this is the 21st century, time for everyone to find a JOB...

You may have a good point to start a debate; however, few people would take you seriously if you don't take the time to check your spelling.
I do believe that, the idea behind a Black College Fund, as well as a Congressional Black Caucus, or even a Black Entertainment Television (BET), is to give Black people (who have for centuries held the shortest end of the stick) some sense of empowerment.
I can't tell whether or not you are a RACIST but you sure as hell sound like one.

Damn i just said this same thing the other day on another question on whites being so racist. I said the college thing, the t.v. programs and the black museums. Yes we get called racist because it is the quickest answer available. As i said i am not white like the crayon. I am Dutch, German, Irish, English, Native American and once when my kids had a discussion on races my daughter put this on the back of her t-shirt and had "cracker" on the bottom. We get called that too.

I understand where you're coming from. They think they can call us crackers and it's wrong to call them a ******. I do not mind black people but they keep forgeting it is not the 1960's anymore. We have to get over the racial tensions. We have apologized but they keep trying to show us what we did wrong. We understand what we did wrong. Not every white person is a racist, but they think we all are. I am white and a Scottish-American. The KKK was made up of mostly white Scottish-Americans. I do not hate black people.
