I have used Yahoo Personals in the past. I met many people online, some I talked to on the phone, and a few I met in person after talking a while. I found that most people misrepresent themselves. Many are just looking for sex and others are looking for an emotional crutch. If you decide to try it, be careful with your personal information. Don't believe everything you see as it is presented. There are a lot of lonely horny women out there, and I am repeating that from the many men I talked to in emails on that site.....they all told me that. You can contact me if you have any specific questions. I tried it off and on for over a year.

I never actually used online dating, but I did exchange letters and gifts for a while with someone that I met in a chat room, and I did find an aquaintance who I liked at the time on an online dating service and used it as an opportunity to get to know him better.

I'm married now, but I think online dating services offer a great opportunity to meet people with similar interests that you wouldn't otherwise be able to meet, whether it's someone across the globe, across the state or even just across town.

I have used it. Some of the women I met were nice and some were not so nice just like the women I met the "normal way" You still have to be careful as people will lie but I did meet my wife through an online dating service and we have been married 2 years and are still happy So dont need to use it again

Yes. But - it will only work properly if both the man AND the woman are honest both with each other and about themselves!! "Playing Games" - which some people do - is useless in my opinion! So you play a game - you get someone to "fall for you," but - the "you" that the person falls for is not really you -- they fall for a person who does not really exist! If and when they meet YOU they will be greatly disappointed-! It is better to be Honest in on-line dating. Then - if someone wants to meet you, the you that they meet will be the you that you told them that you are-!! Playing games just wastes time for both people-!!

I have done previously .. no risk no gain.. there's no harm in trying one out as long as you meet the person early in the relationship, even though people say looks don't matter, there has to be some physical attraction, and once you've pinned your hopes and become emotionally involved it will be traumatic if after meeting the feelings aren't reciprocated.

I have done in the past, but there are a lot of dead beat losers out there.

Most people on those sites are desparate and the reason is that they are pretty awful on the whole. A load of no hopers. Sad.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Never. I always thought that internet dating was for people who wouldn't stand a chance out in the real world.

I have and hate to say it but most people lie about themselves and use photos taken 10years ago. Be careful! Pretty dangerous.
I have only met one person who was what was presented on the web.
