Online friend of mine (he is NOT a stranger) exchanged numbers with me only to keep in touch when my internet cuts off...
now, he seems to text me so often, hasnt gone 4 days without texting me, and just now, he came back from work, telling me how his day was.........eventhough i didnt ask!
Just casual things like that about his everyday life...
i didnt expect this, dont know what he wants. It doesnt annoy me, i just dont understand what he's up to by texting to "often"....even he told me he wanted to "drop the odd text now and then" before he took it.
Been friends with him for 8 months now - ive told him directly that i dont want to "talk" to him on the phone because....i just dont.
So how come he is doing this? I didnt think this would happen.

You gave your style, so which you needed him to call, that's the message that he have been given from you... if he's barely too heavy too at as quickly as, and it unnerves you... then exchange your style... BT will exchange it for loose if it fairly is harassment... and cellular agencies will in all risk be as sympathetic, so call your provider and make sparkling the situation... be basic as you have in top right here... and say it concerns you and ask in the event that they might they help. each individual makes stupid errors and errors of judgement at situations, they be attentive to this. different than of course, it secretly pleases you... inspite of the shown actuality that this might properly be plausible you're taking, once you evaluate which you don't be attentive to a minimum of a few thing approximately this guy, diverse than, precisely what he desires you to! And none of it fairly is actual in any admire! experienced information superhighway customer of purely approximately a decade...

You gave your number, so you wanted him to call, that's the message that he got from you... if he's too heavy too soon, and it unnerves you... then change your number...
BT will change it for free if it's harassment... and mobile firms will likely be as sympathetic, so call your provider and explain the situation... be honest as you have in here... and say it worries you and ask if they can they help. everyone makes foolish mistakes and errors of judgement at times, they know this.
Unless of course, it secretly pleases you... but it's a risk you're taking, since you don't know anything about this man, other than, exactly what he wants you to! And none of it may be real at all!

If this is a platonic relationship, then I don't really find his behaviour "strange". I often tell my friends the most mundane things about my life and going-ons simply because I don't have anything else to say. Vice-versa, too.
The only thing remotely strange about your situation is the fact that he texts you even though he said that he was going to stop. Maybe he just changed his mind.

Probably just needs someone to talk to, that's all. The stresses of daily life can be too much for some people to bear and they (he) just needs someone to vent them to. So by denying him this you are depriving someone of an avenue of release for the frustrations that occur during the working day. But saying that, if it is getting too much for you, tell him to go easy on you for a while.

Of course he is a stranger. You have not spoken to him, let alone met him!
I find this very strange behaviour on your part - and his.
Perhaps he is lonely or fallen in love with someone he doesn't know!

He sounds lonely. This may be turning into a stalker situation if you are uncomfortable. He may not realize it though. In his own mind he may think you have shown him affection of some sort at some point.
