I try to talk to God the way preachers claim they daily do.
All I get is incoherence and interference -- am I using the wrong frequency?

Perhaps the frequency is correct, but the response is not.

I ask my Jewel cd questions. There is a certain song that skips and has skipped for about five years. It always skipped in the same spot and it never moved. One day when it was skipping I was asking God a serious question, the first time ever it didn't skip. I couldn't believe it. You may want to try something like this, it worked for me!

Maybe you're trying real hard to match the preachers' frequency. You have your own unique, self-compatible frequency.

Be still and Listen.
Open your heart up with Love for God and He will speak to you. Accept his son first and believe in what Jesus did for all of us.

God doesn't always talk to you in a way you want him to. He gives you subtle hints that he is listening. You also shouldn't strain to hear him. The more you strain, the more you will miss the message. Let yourself go. Clear your mind and your heart.

His voice is very, very quiet. You have to be in a very, very quiet place emotionally to hear what He's saying. I almost never like the things He says to me so see you have to be really calm and quiet to realize it's Him. Occasionally though He'll smack you upside the head with signs so watch out!
