On March 24, 2001 Randy Johnson of the Arizona Diamondbacks hit a bird with a 95 m.p.h. fastball during a spring training game in one of the most bizarre (and humorous) incidents in recent sports history. A bemused Johnson was quoted as saying "I don't think it was funny."

He was pitching to San Francisco Giants CF Calvin Murray.

in case you hit a poultry on your vehicle going 35 miles an hour, the poultry would not stay. So why might it stay to tell the story a ninety 5 mile an hour rapid ball? And, definite I understand that a vehicle is alot heavier than a baseball. yet what are the percentages it lived?

Yep. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in sports. Not sure the bird would agree with me, but nevertheless.

Yeah I remember but who cares? They made this issue out of it and it was an accicdent. Personally I think that it was very overplayed, and kinda SICK the way they were so oppossed with it.
