You can find PDF copies of Doughboy Pools assembly instructions at:

http://www.doughboy-pools.com/?page=4&tab=Pools

Enter the size and type of pool you own and print the instructions. Follow the instructions for installing the pool liner. Other than removing the old liner first, the instructions will be the same for installing a replacement liner.

Good luck with your project.

does the metal brackets go all the way around the pool over the plastic clips

On the wall top, there ought to be round metal "keepers" placed all around the pool. These hold the wall up a bit and help keep the shape. The plastic ones are there to clip the liner over these. The vertical support brackets (top of each post), in turn, go over these, followed by the top rails themselves.
I'll put this question on my watch list, if you need further help, just post additional comments. By the way, make sure you have help on liner day. This is not a one person job. The more the merrier. Also, don't do this on a high wind day, you'll regret it.

Edit: Earlier this summer, I was asked to write up an above ground installation description, start to finnish. Post back in comments if you'd like me to reprint it in here.
