I know you'll get a lot of answers to this, so I'll be as brief as I can manage.
We should only go to war when it's absolutely necessary - when our safety or the safety of others is directly and immediately threatened, and there is no other option to stop that threat.
This war was not necessary. Hussein did not have the ability to attack the US, and there wasn't strong evidence, even at the time, to think that he did. UN inspections were keeping him in check. He was oppressing his people, but he was not actively committing genocide (like in Rwanda or the Balkans).
Further, we planned poorly for the occupation after the war. The administration did not take into account the possibility that the different factions within Iraq would fight each other and not want us there. They did not do enough early on to ensure security and stability.
Now the situation is getting worse and worse. Americans (not to mention Iraqis!) are dying every day, and there is no solution in sight. America is not gaining anything; we are spending billions of dollars and we are even less safe than we were before the war. It has been a disaster and a tragedy.

You have just played into the liberals hands. I'm wondering if that was your intention. People are behaving like those 3 monkeys, see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Liberals tend to think that the only country in the whole world who is evil is the USA. To them if we do anything we are in the wrong. They actually believe that we could talk the terrorists out of attacking us. You can see how well this program worked out just by watching tapes of 9/11. I will always support my President and all the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hugs to the troops and thank you and God bless each and every one of you even if you are a liberal.

Well, ethics teach us to do no harm before doing good.
The war in Iraq was to serve American geopolitical interests in the Middle East, before bringing freedom to people (where's freedom in an army occupied country anyway?). And now, the American army is stuck there because they cannot leave the country in such a mess, it's going to turn back on them. You don't want that.
Very helpful is perception inversion... you live in Irak, you think the American president represents a danger for you and your family, disagreeing with his choices, do you attack and invade the USA for that? Asking is answering.

I don't support the war because we're losing too many lives in a war that has become a large mess with no end in sight, but we can't pull out now its too late. If we pull out now it will be turmoil

To me it's hard to justify most violence.
Our government shouldn't have gone to war when there was eminent threat and without the support of the U.N. it makes us into the terrorists. No one disagrees that Hussein is a bad person and no one wanted them to have weapons of mass destruction. But the problem is you don't go to war because you don't like someone and you think they have illegal weapons. Furthermore, you don't go to war with no exit strategy.
There is so much more that America is needed as a strong force. Places like Sudan and Uganda who are subjected to genocide and children becoming soldiers .

killing people is by most normal people standards,in this world is considered unfriendly and morally wrong.
that you ask ,means that you are a Christian ,who regard warmongering as normal .as they have done for thousands of years
.this is very hypocritical coming from people who say that killing is against their commandments
war does not beget peace ,on the contrary it produces more war ,for whatever reason.
but then you people know that ,your cult has done nothing else ,and always for profit
shame on you
,forget about going to heaven ,for even asking this question.
i suppose you also support the Bilderberg Agenda (Bush) for planning to reduce the world population by 60%.this has to mean a global nuclear war.
and you people have the audacity to ask why the world hates Americans
they don't hate them ,they are dead scared of them .
but this is what you probably want.

I would put it, easy so you can understand: I think killing people is the biggest sin you could commit. War is about killing people, therefore war is a sin.
