I don't know anything about these books, but they may be worth looking into.

You are much better off, placing an order at a lumber yard. Window manufacture involves precise joinery. The sash are made of components, including rails, stiles, and mullion strips. The sash then have to fit into the frame, and operate on the balances. Depending on what kind of window you need, you have many options. Marvin makes wonderful quality, custom sized windows. If this is for your own home, and you want an insulated unit, look at their products. If it is going into an outbuilding, or somewhere else, where only plain, single glazing is needed, ask the salesperson at the lumber yard to quote something from a local source. They'll know who will be able to get you what you want. Good luck.

A Yahoo search for "wood window construction" (include the quotation marks in the search box) yields 546 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find the information you seek.
Good luck with your search.

I would have to say, if you have to ask, don`t do it. Unless you`re an expert, I could see no good coming from your endever. The few more dollars you spend on a "custom" window will quit likely be worth the grief you will probably encounter by trying something "cheaper" now. You may find you can modify the opening to accomidate a stock size window.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the perfect fit with the 'Law and Prophets' of Judaism and the 'Testimony'[N.T.] of Christianity. Regarding: 1st last & last 1st 1. The first chapter of the 1st book of the Law has 22 creations so the last book of the last Testament has 22 chapters. 2. Rev1:19 John wrote The Revelation[the last things] first and his Gospel[the first things he saw] last Babylon and the red beast[Rev17] BOTH have VERY specific histories with Israel and Judea and are a sign for coming times (Ecc1:9 & 3:15) as history does repeat itself. There is no understanding of The Revelation without a deep understanding of the Law & Prophets for The Revelation is the fulfillment[in time] of the words spoken in[all] the O.T. Revelation7 calls out 12,000 people of each of 12 tribes of Israel for a total of 144,000 to play big parts in the last days. According to The Revelation the city of Jerusalem will have an earthquake where 1/10 of the city will collapse and 7000 people will die after two prophets testify to the world from that city for 1260 days[3+1/2 years: half a week of years]

If you need a book, you are too inexperienced. Buy a stock window and fill it in around the frame or order a custom window from Marvin Windows. Money well spent.

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

Check your local bookstore or go to the library. It sounds like a tough job, though, and might require a professional unless you are good at stuff like this.
