I love Egyptians, the best of humanity. As for Muslims, the world over, I see it as our own fault. We have lost the respect of all, due to our own handiwork. For when it is prayer time, we do not pray, when charity is due, we do not pay, same goes for fasting and Haj.
Two world wars, and none of the European Cristian had to flee their countries and leave loved ones behind to face their fate, they stood up and fought. Muslims are coming to the West to seek "political asylum" because their countries are governed by despots and dictators. As a result the West has found the excuse to mock Islam.
When Khalid Al-Islambouli, rightfully killed Sadat, the Egyptian people failed to rise, and take over the military Junta and rule themselves according to the Islamic rule of law (Shariea).
Who's to blame? A long and sickening venomous Western colonization of Muslim land? True. Westernized educational and judicial system? Also true, but why couldn't we rise again, starting at oneself as individuals. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur'an:
47:7 "O ye who believe! If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly".
In another verse Allah states:
3:160 "If Allah helps you none can overcome you: if He forsakes you, who is there, after that, that can help you? In Allah, then, let Believers put their trust".
And yet the Judeo-Christian West is calling us terrorists!!
However history demonstrates that the most horrific acts of Terrorism has been carried out by the freedom loving democratic nations of the West and Israel, especially against Muslims. According to the Official FBI definition of terrorism: “Terrorism is the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.”
Could it be possible that Islam, whose light ended the Dark Ages in Europe, now propound the advent of terror?
Islam considers all life forms as sacred. However, the sanctity of human life is accorded a special place. The first and the foremost basic right of a human being is the right to live. The Qur’an says about the one who kills an innocent person: “….it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole of mankind.” [Al-Qur’an 5:32]
Such is the value of a single human life; the Qur’an equates the taking of even one human life unjustly, with killing all of humanity. Thus, the Qur’an prohibits murder in clear terms.
Bush invoked the “War on Islam”, as a dictum of power, not reason and wisdom, to camouflage the prospective future with acts of barbarity and to dispel the notion of accountability in global affairs. Historically, people and nations pursuing this path of behavior have ended up in self-defeat and self-destruction.
The 9/11 attacks and religious doctrines have no common ground. Hourly paid intellectuals turned guardian of approved truth, allege that Islam breeds terrorism. The Western mass media complements the scientifically discovered notion to poison the public perceptions and source of judgments against the Arabs and Muslims. The Neo-Fascist Conservatives helped to rob the humanity of its human heritage. The perception of ‘radical Islam’ was invented and enhanced by the ‘fear’ of terrorism and as a precursor to attack Muslims.
Salam

Everyone I ever met was pretty nice. Some ladies I know tell me their Egyptian boyfriends are well endowed and good lovers.
Moslems are a herd are all different. Some are nice and wanna get along, live and let live, others think of the rest of us as infidels and just kinda act superior and then apparently there are those fanatics who want to kill or convert anyone who is not a Moslem.
I have never met a fanatic before but I do know about being considered to be an infidel or unfaithful one. I didn't like this as I tolerate others beliefs as best I can and show respect for them in all cases.
By the way, is a "mouselm" ... a small, long tailed animal-like Moslem? ;>)

You make a valid argument.
I am ashamed at how some of my fellow Americans that are republicans like to group all moslems into one cord and call them all fascist terrorists. That just isn't right and is creating more problems between the two groups.
As far as the Egyptian ppl, I haven't known many in my life. I had a professor once that was from Egypt (one of my EE courses) and he was a great guy. He saw my middle name once and asked me about my heritage... my grandmother was from India and I have her sister's name.
From a political point of view, Egypt has managed to stay out of the 'politics' of the middle east for many years now. I give them much credit for that.

I don't have any beliefs about all Egyptians or all Moslems, other than they are all people. The rest is up to the individual.

I think your country is absolutely beautiful. I think your religion is one of great peace and gives one an inner humble self. I think many are mislead by our media to think otherwise. Salaam.
