if * means point wise multiplication thus
(g*h)(x) = g(x)*h(x)

then none of the answers is correct , correct would be
1/x for all x except for x =1 and x=0 where it is undefined

However (g*h)(x) could also mean something else

I am wondering why there is an f(x) ?????

If you mean [g(x) * h(x)] * x, then the answer is 1:

(x-1)/x * 1/(x-1) * x = 1
