Statistically it is known to be more accurate with
a blood test done in week 10 and the
ultrasound in week 12
although it can be done from 11-13+6 weeks

18-20 weeks is the anatomy scan not the nuchal fold


Detection rate is 90% for trisomy 13, 18, and 21
There is a 5% false positive rate (told they are high risk when they arent)
and a 10% Miss rate

If you choose to do it get it done early

There is no such thing as 100% accuracy in any ultrasound. The typcial screening test is done about 18-20 weeks.

Yes, it needs to be done between weeks 11 and 14.
