Its got to be Greenwich or Shorditch/Brick Lane area.
Although there are some good restaurants and pubs, the West End doesnt have much character, too touristy.

Greenwich, very lovely place and nice restaurants. The Thames and Cutty Sark are worth seeing. Maritime museum and Royal Observatory are nearby as well. Finally great views from the hill over Canary Wharf and over to the City.

All the parks and the great free festivals on in Summer. Went to the Spanish festival in Regent St today and there were bars and restaurants where there's usually traffic and a mini beach. Haven't been to many cities where you get so many festivals...also love being anywhere along the river.

So many...Covent Garden, Hyde Park, River Thames, taking the boat to Greenwich and back is lovely. There is so much to see and do...enjoy!

Depends on what u like. The parks are good for chilling but Soho for the best bars and restaurants.
