It makes no difference, whatever the top division is called. If you're the League Champions, you're the League Champions.
I believe Leeds have been Champions thrice.

the premiership has been going since the 1992/1993 season, and the only winners are:
manchester united (1992/1993,1993/1994,1995/1996,
1996/1997,1998/1999,1999/2000,2000/2001,2002/2003)
arsenal (1997/1998,2001/2002,2003/2004)
blackburn rovers (1994/1995)
chelsea (2004/2005,2005/2006)
there have only been 4 winners in 14 seasons of the english premiership. leeds have only ever won league 1 when it was the top league.

Never. So far only 3 teams have won, ManU, Arsenal, Blackburn and. Chelsea brought the last 2.

No they have not won the premiership but they did win the league in 1992 the year before the premiership started they had Eric Cantona then before he moved to Man Utd to win th premiership!!
