Yeah 800x600...that was like 10 years ago.


Sadly, the most common is 1024x768... not really big but that's it.

It's a personal preference...but 800x600 is usually the minimum nowadays....you cannot really get lower than that since all applications are packing a lot of stuff on the frames....if you choose lower resolution, the details start getting cut off...

With today's monitors it is 1280x1024... a nice clarity with ability to see entire screen without scrolling too much.

If you going with lesser, i.e., 1280x768 or 1024x768 the letters will be larger but you won't see you whole email message or ebay page, etc., you'll have to scroll over.... so I changed mine to 1280x1024

mine is 1024x768, and i have 2 19" monitors

It is usually 1024x768, for widescreens it's 1280x800.
