im not try-in to be mean but i really don't know your gender so i will guess. Um say to your friends that you like this girl or boy and he or she is fine cute sexy or what ever you would rather pick say it out loud so that person can hear you well. Hang and talk to them more be closer to them. Then ask for their # so ya'll can talk. Then just flat out tell he or she that you would like to go out with them.

please dont wear low cut shirts or anything to get his attention, guys will notice your body, but not see the real you. (Read the book "Sexy girls: how hot is too hot" By Haley Dimarco) just listen to him when he talks to you, start conversations (such as "do you know what was for homework last night, have you seen that movie, have you heard the song".... etc) Ii hope i helped!

(don't be phony & laugh at everything he says, try to be yourself as much as you can)
say his name when you talk to him (at end of sentence).
compliment his clothes or shoes (if they are nice).
compliment him on anything else he accomplishes like a good grade or sports.
