<----proud to be a blue state Democrat

But tell me... coragryph,....I know you are a Libertarian if I remember right, and I respect that. But don't you feel or know in your heart that your candidate cant at this time be elected president. The same with the other small special interests party's.No matter how good the platform and how impressive the candidate,America is only a viable 2 party country. And that may change in the future and perhaps rightly so. To have more viable options. But in truth, in this day and time ,if you don't vote Democratic then your vote splinters that vote and may as well been cast for the republicans. Its like throwing your vote away if what you want is change. No ,I do not agree with a lot of things the Democrats advocate, but I do not agree with anything the republicans stand for.So I will vote blue and try to change the party from within. But I will not waste my vote.I will not splinter the voting process,I will vote for change .I will vote Democrat in the mid terms in Nov.and in 2008.

Democrats - reason - the TV networks labeled the states during the presidential election of 1996 in 2 colors as the votes came in. Blue was for states which had voted majority Democrat, red was for states which had voted majority Republican.

Democrats (Blue States). A twist on history since most of the "Union" states from the Civil war (Blue) are democratic and the Red (Confederacy) states are Republican. The twist is that Lincoln was Republican.
