I have a 86 Chevy Blazer 2.8 L engine, the fuel line leading into the carburetor. What should be the pressure (psi) of the fuel?

Carburetor - around 3 - 5 psi
Throttle body - around 15 - 25 psi
fuel injection - 25 - 35 psi, I have seen some as high as 40

If that's a real carburetor, around 8 psi or so. If it's a throttle body, they typically run at 15 to 20 psi.

not very much, just a couple of pounds only fuel injection runs higher pressures. carb- a couple pounds TBI around 8-15 PFI around 25-60 what's more important is flow, you can have 40psi, but no volume. volume is the only importance on a carburetor, there is no forcing of the fuel, it's drawn in by engine vacuum through various ports

about 20 to 40 depends on how old the pump is
