Oh my god! Where's your brain? I'm sorry ! Why do you want to even "think" of doing this? What about when it gets older in life? Even a name! What if they grow up hating it? Not even to mention the cleaning and keeping it from getting infected! What about pain? Give it a few "beers" first? Just don't!!!!!!

1 That no matter what you pick now, it will not be the "in" thing when they are a teen--so they are going to hate you for making what should be left as their own choice. You will never be able to choose the right thing for a later time . . . no matter what. If you choose a sports sign, they won't be good or like that sport. If you choose a drug sign, they will grow up and be ultra religious and hate you and the design. If you choose a religious design, they will join the opposite religion or be an atheist. If you choose something patriotic, they will choose to be non-patriotic. If you choose something that's neat now, it will be something outdated and "old" then. So don't even try to go there . . .
2 Since the paints are not regulated, you could be setting an infant up for a lifetime of allergies and complications.
3 Some public servants and medical types would consider this abuse so you might find yourself embattled with the legal system IF you can find someone who doesn't understand the law to do this on your child.

So why go there . . . ???

My question is "WHY"?? You would put a baby through tattooing when most grownups don't get tattoo's because of the pain. Also, you're not giving your child a choice, which is rotten. This little one needs to be able to make an informed choice when he/she grows up and should have some say-so about something that you're going to permanently apply to their body. There is no "health" reason to do this, like a circumcision. And the kid will hate you for doing this to them. Think of all the babies who have birth marks/ defects and their family would love to have this changed but can't. Don't go making a "defect" on a baby! It's morally wrong! Godloveya!

The main factor you should consider is waiting till the child is old enough to make his own decisions about a tattoo.

If you're thinking of doing this as an identification mark, wait till it's older.

Why the hell would you tattoo an infant r u MAD?!?! Leave the poor child alone when they are 18 they can decide if they want a tattoo and what they want it of for themselves.

I know in MN you can't get a tattoo unless you are 16 with parents consent. Plus, when they grow it will look bad because it will stretch. Kind of like when you draw a picture on a balloon and then blow it up.

I guess if it is Ur kid...U can do whatever U want.... I would say use a numbing cream like a permant makeup artis would.....there are alot of topicals 2 choose from.... I do corrective makeup & use them 2 ease the discomfort as well as stop the swelling & bleeding that may occur.....

The factor you should consider is someone calling the authorities on you for attempted child abuse.

Hell No!!!!!! thats permanent and the childs body not yours. I thought about getting my son's ear pierced when he was young....but decided to wait to let him make his own decision. and he is 9 and last week he asked to get his ear pierced!!!!! Plus tattos reflect a person's personality who's to say your child would like the same thing
