Ethics is more philosophical and involves the concepts of what is considered right or wrong.

Laws are enacted by the govt and enforced against everyone.

Ethics are determined by profession or group, and accepted as voluntary obligations for those who choose to participate in that group or profession.

Both are sets of rules governing conduct.

Ethics is how an individual acts.. with or without knowledge of the law.
