Awww, that's not nice. I don't really like to buy AE clothes because they're expensive, and I'm 17, but if people over 30 want to wear AE clothes, I think it's fine.

Well AE's target demographic is teens and early twenty somethings, they are supposed to have a spin off store for people in their 30's. Some of their stuff is pretty basic and could be worn by anyone, but generally trends are meant for people under 30. I think the reason some people over the target age go in there is because their prices are pretty resonable. I don't think they are expensive at all myself. Anyways from what I have seen most of the people wearing AE are younger teens, and then older teens it tends to be Hollister.

LOL... I think that if you work and have the money to purchase your own clothes, it doesn't matter what brand they are.... The reason that companies that market clothing to the "younger crowd" make money, is because parents (probably OVER 30!) are paying for it....
AE is created for people, PERIOD. They sell MEN and WOMEN'S clothing. Nowhere does it say, you must be under 30 to wear.

I agree with you, i work with a woman who is close to 40 and wears a lot of American Eagle stuff, I think it looks tacky and too young. Not to mention, the cuts at American Eagle are better fitting for teenagers with out real curves, not a grown woman.

Why not? AE has the teeny bopper look, as well as cute clothes that fit anyone. They have plain clothes that look much better on women that are more mature. Plus, they have money to spend and don't have to use mom and dad's money, let them buy what they want!

Print this out and put it away in an envelop and in about 10-15 years, open it and see how stupid this question is. Thirty is young and sassy too! What's important is how that person feels in their clothing and until you're buying for them, keep your "childish" opinions to yourself. Godloveya!

no i think you should leave AE to the preps. Let them spend daddys money on all that crap but for the rest of us that actually have to work 3 jobs to keep up with bills yeah we know what is the smartest thing to buy.

i don't see a problem with it as long as they know how to wear it. Its just a brand name who cares what older people actually wear. If it make them happy and comfy then so be it.
