sure if you live in a cave in the middle of nowhere.other than that you,I and everyone else are effected by politics...and all politics are local so you are also effectived by the political persuasion of that area in which you live.

Even knowing about the parties.

I was completely apolitical until we started getting people elected into office who kept breaking the rules, ignoring federal laws, and violating basic constitutional principles. That's when I became political.

I suppose it's possible if you're a hermit or someone who isolates him/herself from the rest of the world. But most of us don't live like that. So, sooner or later, we end up becoming political, one way or another. Even those who don't vote have their own opinions regarding various issues.
