I took two EPT, each a day apart, both have a faint postive. Took one this morning, negative! WTH. So, I go and buy a First Response, early result................negative. Why? Why must I go through this? I am so sick of negatives. I get the doctors blood results on Tuesday but I like the at home confirmation since I had a miscarriage in May. I feel like a fool. I feel like I.............I don't know. After 2 miscarraiges in a year and so many negatives you really start to wonder if you are crazy. Anyone else feel this way?

Thanks.

Oh, I am sorry that you are going through this. I know how disappointing all the negative tests and varying test results can be. I know that the wait until Tuesday is going to feel like the longest time ever too. ((bighug)) Waiting really is one of the hardest parts of all. Baby Dust Vibes to you and good luck for Tuesday's results.

Go tot he doc get a blood test when I was pregnant for 3 months ept said negative and I was sick all the time so I figured than there was something wrong with me if I'm not pregnant so I had to take a blood test... at 9 months pregnant the urine tests still said negative... so trust the doc n blood good luck!

a faint positive is still a positive - but i imagine with 2 previous miscarraiges you continue to test to reasure yourself...

the tests work by detecting the pregnancy hormone in yout urine - if you have drunk lots & so diluted your urine or not used your 1st urine of the day then the amount of pregnancy hormone may not be consentraited enough to produce a positive on your test. it will most probably say on the test that you shouldnt have urinated for at least 4 hours before doing the test...

its common to get false negatives, but a falst positive doesnt normally occour unless you wait more than an hour to read the result, so i would say you are pregnant.

you dont say how far along you are, but its best you wait until your period is late before testing. good luck.

I'm so sorry for your lose and what you are going through, I understand your pain and frustration.

calm down and relax...I know it's hard but just breath.
there are such things as false positives and false negatives

I hope that since you have had two miscarriages in a year that your gyno is running blood tests to see what causes them...I had two and my gyno found the problem and all I had to do was take asprin once a day...two kids later, I'm glad she found out why.

I wouldn't waste your money on anymore tests...especially the expensive one's. if you do want to take a test go ahead and buy the store brand, they work just as well, and make sure you take it first thing in the morning...your urine is more concentrated.

I wish you luck!
Blessed Be!

They were probably false positives. I always had a VERY clear positive with all my kids...I used First Response and EPT. I know how miscarriages feel too though...and yes, I was very frustrated after it. It'll work out....stress will make it worse though so try to find something to keep you busy so you aren't on yahoo worrying! :)

are your sure you read the EPT right, I believe that one shows a + or a - instead of just one line or two. Other than that I don't know why it would unless you are on a medicine that affects the test. You are not crazy, you just want a baby and that is normal.

I think if you got a positive, that means that you are pg. I have heard and read that there are no fake positives. Wait until the morning when you haven't peed in a few hours and take it again. I know it is hard, try to relax!! Stress will not help!!! Take care and good luck. :)

I was told by a nurse once that you can get a negative and still be pregnant, but you can't get a positive and not be pregnant. Something to do with a particular hormone only being present when you have conceived, So, based on this, you are!!!

Congratulations!!

PS - what the hell is 'ericbrame' on?? she really doesn't need to hear that, please go get a life

Yes. I went through this and I was pregnant! My husband thought I was nuts. If you have faint positives, they probably are positive. Sometimes negatives are wrong, but rarely positives. Good luck and hang in there.

Then be moral and stop having sex before marriage. Sex was created by god for humans to multiply, not to use it as recreation.

Titus 2:4-6 (King James Version)

4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

6Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
