I would first look at what the friend is talking about in myself. Friends know us better than anyone. Is this friend right or is it just malicious words. Only you can know. If the person is right then the rude advice is warranted. If not then the friend needs to grow up.

If you trust the friend then you should serioulsy think about what they have said and maybe ask them to explain further what the problem is. If you want to keep a friend sometimes you have to be flexible and alter behaviour... is this friend worth it? Is this friend looking out for your best interest?

Take a look at yourself and see if what she/he said is true. Ask another close friend to give you an honest opinion. Look at the motivation of the friend to see if you can trust her comment. Is she a helpful, well-balanced person or is she jealous, angry, destructive etc.

Tell your friend No way! Where is the fun in that! Your friend might just need to lighten up a little and stop being so serious.

That doesn't seem lilke that big of a deal to me, it just seems like a remark that you brush off, and go on with living your life.
You can think back for a while why he/she said that to you, and then try to learn from it, but don't dwell in the past too much. Roll with the punches.

If a good friend is that frustrated to tell you to grow up, maybe you need to step back and take a good look at yourself.

see if another friend agrees with them, ask them seriously to be truthful to you but dont mention that someone else has already said you are immature.
if more than one person thinks this way then you probably need to start acting more responsibly and more adult.
have fun tho!

If you were having an argument maybe it was said in anger. When you are both calm sit and talk it through ask their reasons for saying it and then ask yourself if your friend is right.

Think about the reasons they have said this. Consider them - and be honest with yourself.
Then decide if you want to grow up or not!
