You have 8 MB of video RAM which resides on your RAM.

All the replies about shared resources are correct, also the notebook may leach more memory as required to run heavily dependant graphics I.E some Games, as and when needed then, return to normal, you can actually see this happening if you run a performance programme in the system tray. This is all normal on a shared resource system.

yes,it has to take away the onboard graphic memory,which in your case is 8mb,if you go into set up(press delete on start up)you can increase this up to 128mb

beacuse 8Mo are used for the graphique card
some exepnsive laptop have a dedicated graphic memory
