I would be a little of both, happy because I would spend the day cuddling with loved ones (I assume you meant that we knew the world was going to end) and just enjoying the important things in life. Sad because I knew the world was coming to an end and I wouldn't have time to hug all of my family and friends.

It depends on how the world was to end and whether or not I would be aware of it a day ahead of time. If I knew it was going to end, I would call my loved ones who are too far to see again and let them know how they were special and dear to me. I would eat all the chocolate in the house. I would cherish my pets even more than usual and play with them. I would cuddle with my husband and we would talk about what has been precious to us and how lucky we have been. I would listen to my favorite music. I would be especially aware of how grateful I am for the gifts I have known.
If I knew the world was going to end in a way that would cause pain to living things, I would probably try to think of a way to be unconscious when the painful part was going to start. I'm not a drinker, but it might be the one time I'd choose to drink myself into a stupor. I'd have to make sure my pets were spared pain first. I'd talk about these thoughts with my husband and try to come up with a plan to spare as many beings whatever pain might lie ahead.
As for being happy or sad about The End, I'd be sad at the end of the things I hold dear, but knowing I'd not be around to suffer, I wouldn't be all that troubled for myself. Humankind has not taken good care of the planet, and I tend to think the centuries to come might have even more suffering than in the past because of dwindling resources, increasingly lethal weaponry, and increasing tribalism among religious and ethnic groups -- not to mention the usual diseases, plagues, and pandemics.

Um, die? Probably not feeling much.
But if I am capable of thought and emotion after death then I assume I will be quite happy to find all my friends and family with me, very pleased to see that I am in a younger, painless form and glad that the wars are finally over.

I'm already happy, but if the world ended tomorrow I would probably not really care. Nothing to do in a world that doesn't exist anymore. Too much else to see in the afterlife!

well, there is nothing else ending that isnt something else begining
I'd imagine the manner in which the world ended would be a factor as well...is it simply a political and economic breakdown? or something harder to live through like a global thermonuclear war or a comet impact?

What's wrong with being happy now? Does the world REALLY have to end before that question is resolved?

I live every day like the world could end tomorrow, for all we know it might, debauchery and hedonism aren't where true pleasure is, it's in peaceful observation and examination.

I would be happy to my last breath. And look forward to finding out what was next if my conscious would survive the demise of my body..

I would be very happy... it's about time the virus called "Man" was wiped off the face of the earth.
