Washing windows - no special cleaning products needed! Like the other person said, you can use vinegar.

I don't. Just a bit of washing up liquid in hot water. Wash the window, with a cloth or sponge (not too wet, or water everywhere!). To dry and polish the window - I use newspaper. It's brilliant!

I learned it at primary school from the old head mistress Miss Milliken. Scrumple up the newspaper, use it to polish the window. You can use the same piece for some time, until it gets really wet. Then use another bit. Works a treat!

I really disagree with all these products that are available for different things. Essential oils are handy around the house, that's another whole subject tho!

Any ideas anyone for carpets? I will not buy shake & vac! Baking soda? Salt?

Clean one room at a time and ave one area that you are going to put things you're not sure if you're going to keep or you don't know what to do with. After you've done all your cleans of the rooms, go back through the stuff you're not sure about, and it makes it easier to decide where to store it, or if you should just give it away. And start with the harder rooms to clean first, so wherever you have the most clutter, so you get the big jobs done before you get too tired.

Try either moving all furniture out of each room to another, then clean it. Or move furniture from one end of the room to the other and clean it. Clean down all walls with mild detergant then the paint work, radiators, skirtings etc... Clean each piece of furniture, then vacuum the floors. Finally move the furniture back and do the other half of the. Easy peasy really, if I lived close to you i'd offer to come round and do it myself for you!!!
