Why are some people racist?

Some people are just for no reason, some just say there are. They dont give a reason. What is your opinion?

My father is a racist. I am not. And you know I am white but Martin Luther King was my childhood hero, and my best friend is black too. I cant believe that there can be any valid reason to make someone suffer, personally I think that it is just a way to satisfy the moral ugliness. I have also heard that in some poor countries there are more teenage racists, cuz they feel themselves powerful in groups. In Russia a lot of people are saying that their grandfathers were protecting their homeland from fascists and they will not allow the blacks to come. I find this argumentation stupid cuz I believe that during the Second World War people were fighting for their lives and independence. Some other unsuccessful people see the successful African people in their countries and that makes them hate black people. It is horrible anyway. And I believe it is one of the worst problems of humanity. And there must be a way to stop it. If we are still far from that, then at least we can be sure that all the racists will burn at hell.

racism is a sickness, it is alot of hate and anger and most of all ignorance. I do not hate people because of the color of they skin however, if you do something to me and it's really bad then I would hate you. It would not matter if you was white,black, hispanic or Asian.

For me it's an individual thing not a persons color.. It is so weird to see that people can not let things go with this racism against people that does not look like them. The people you hate are the ones that could safe you one day.

I had a issue with Indian women one time and I did not like them because of one person that did something to me, how ignorant is that. So when I was having my 2nd child this Indian women took such good care of me, I was in shock. She treated me better then my own people.. So this is my point...

It's a difference in people, a difference in their culture, a difference in their objectives.
Often people confuse racism with people simply wanting to be with their own.
The constitution nor your god gurantees that you should be forced to inter ming with other cultures if you do not want to , and that is not racist.
Blacks are the most racist people on earth to each other, and others outside their race yet scream racist in everything. They have a culture that is revolting to most of us and expect the rest of us to embrace their culture, even blend into it. we don't have to and it';s not racist to not want to.
Muslims have a culture within their religion that goes against every thing taught us from birth, yet scream racism if someone object to their trying to impose their mess of a society on others.

I think it might have to do with how there raised. A lot of people are raised in a home were its OK to be racist. They may even learn it from there parents.

All people are racist, and for good reason. We're different and it is a survival instinct. If you believe you are not racist, then you are deluding yourself.

Society and the media play a big part, unfortunately racism will never end, to many people keeping it alive in all cultures. It is a part of our daily life, I see it everyday. It truly is sad.
