Leave his belongings by the door he might get the hint. Lifes too short to live with a miserable person get out there and enjoy yourself.

maybe he's fed up? How about something to cheer him up -or say to him the glass isnt half empty - its half full? Still maybe he's disullisioned with life. MAybe he has mild depressuion or feels unwanted ior unloved? Maybe he needs counselling - you cant divorce someone for being 'miserable', maybe you could introduce him to some activities he enjoys? Maybe hes jhust set in his ways - and needs some new spots to add to his old ones - good lcuk!

tell him how you feel,tell him he's making you feel down and that life is to short being miserable to make the most of the things he has if he wont listen get the frying pan around the back of his bloody head give him something to be miserable about

Hire a clown to come cheer him up, if it doesn't cheer him up at least there'll be two nuts in the house and you won't feel so lonely!! LOL ;oDD

Have you tried loosing the stair carpet, then you can claim any insurance as well of getting rid of him.

Do all that you can, in all way that you can, wherever you can, however you can to make him happy.
If he's happy he'll no longer do your head in.
