i carry an extinguished part smokedcigarette in my finger while walking, why do people cough there is no smoke

i carry an extinguished cigatertte so im not smoking if i didnt have one in my hands i would get a Fresh one out and light it, funnily enough the cough normally reminds me my cig is out so i light it and blow smoke at them - im out side they probably own a car and cause far more pollution than i do as a result

as far im aware smell doesn't cause a coughing spate neither does SEEING an object - smoke inhalation can so it is NOT a natural cough - this i would have no objection to it is a natural response to stimuli, this is an artificial fake reaction

personally i think they're ignorant and rude, I'm an adult it's a product i have legally purchased

They are just being obnoxious to you because they don't smoke you do. They can't bare to go through one day without making someone feel uncomfortable about something they are doing. Probably the same kind of people that chastise their children when they come for a visit because of the way they discipline their children, or dress them selves or keep their vehicles. But then have the audacity to ask why their children don't come to visit as often as they'd like them to.

i don't think you should be offended by that...i don't know if you've ever heard of Pavlov's experiments-this scientist used a dog, each time he fed him, he'd call him by ringing a bell, after a while, the man would just ring the bell without giving the food and he saw that the dog would start to drewl on the very sound...so the conclusion is that when something happens to us we associate this happening with the surrounding conditions... it's like when we hear a song and suddenly remember a person we used to listen to it with... i think it's the same with cigars,when someone sees you holding it, he can't see if it's lit or not, but the very sight of it reminds him of the smell and the smoke and automatically triggers off the coughing...

Typical none smokers, they do it like they are some sort of authority figure and your a naughty child who has been caught out, I smoke, but never in front of none smokers, children or outside, the only place I smoke in my own home and if people come to visit then they have to accept it and as its my home I can do what I please in it, the first person who uses the cough on me while I smoke in my own home will be asked to leave and not to return ever.
