You sound young. Have you tried feminine products that are "junior sized?" If you are having problems with other bands, that may be a way to go.
As far as favorites go...all women have different personal hygiene [sanitary] needs, consequently we use products to best meet these needs and we may have many different "favorite" brands.
The best you can do is learn by trial and error, eventually, you too will find what products work best for you and meet your different needs.

None, I use a Mooncup menstrual cup, wouldn't use tampons again if they paid me given as I now know all the risks (commercial tampons are the most harmful of over twenty different options), and pads aren't comfortable or able to deal with my menses – although I would say Organic pads or Cloth pads are the best as they aren't as likely to cause infections or TSS like pads such as Always that are made from synthetics and chemicals.
Yes wipes are dangerous in that they contain chemicals that interfere with your vaginal PH so in turn interfere with natural bacterial balance, without healthy bacterial balance your vagina can get infections such as bacterial vaginosis or thrush – chemicals can also be more easily absorbed into your body and stay within the fatty tissue causing general health problems. All your vagina/vulva ever needs to stay clean is plain water, anything else can cause problems.
As for medicine for pain; nothing – pain is your bodies way of telling you that something is wrong, just silencing it with painkillers is not going to help, it is far better to prevent the problem by looking at your diet, stress levels, etc. Good cures if you do get pains however would be things like raspberry leaf tea, if you look on web sites like http://sisterzeus.com they have a lot of good ideas.

I prefer Kotex or Always. I only use sanitary napkins because after extensive research I unveiled that a lot of tampon companies produce products that have chemicals which cause your period to drag out, resulting in buying more of their product and their higher profit. I don't use cloths because of their chemicals, I usually opt for bathing more so than regular. For the pain I've found that Aleve works best for me and lasts longer. Also hot soak baths do wonders in conjuction with the Aleve. Hope this helps :)

i like tampax tampons (the multi pack) i dont really use sanitary napkins unless it is the end of my period and i am only bleeding a little in which case i use always ultra thin pads. for pain i like to use aleve, that works the best for me. i dont use the cleansing cloths, but im pretty sure they are safe to use, otherwise they wouldnt be on the market.

By far the best tampon on the market is OB. Tampax last me about 5 minutes before I have to change. OB are really good, and last (design by females, unlike all the others). They have different sizes, depending on your flow. Start with the smallest, and increase as needed.
Ibuprofen works for my cramps -- Advil is one of the brand names, but generic are just as good and a lot cheaper. But there are different kinds of cramps, and different drugs help for different women.
Haven't found a good pad, yet, but with any luck, I'll stop soon and never have to deal with any of it again.

I like the overnights w/wings for sleeping, Kotex security tampons and I always use famine wipes with and w/o my period. Ibuprofen is the only thing that will relieve my cramps, when I was in my teens I tried everything for cramps and nothing worked except for Ibuprofen. I have never had a problem with hygiene wipes. I watch what I buy, I look at what they put in them!!!
