Does this have something to do w/ people under the age of 25 and text messages? Sure everyone makes mistakes but consistently saying "I weight 130" or "How do you loose weight", "I weight myself this morning" over & over & over! It seems about 50% of people (on computer, not just YA) don't know the difference? Can't they sound it out, there is no "t" in "I weigh 130!!)

that feels better.

Age has nothing to do with it. These are common mistakes that people make. Getting worked up about it solves nothing. The bottom line is whether you can understand what the other person is trying to convey not their grammar or spelling.

People learn by what they see. So after year and years of seeing something spelled a way they also spell it that way.

That's almost as annoying as people mispronouncing the word "height".
It's pronounced "hite",not "hite-th".
There is length,width,and height.Not height-th.

It is because people are either too lazy to fix their mistakes, or they have their heads up their asses.
