I have to wear a uniform to school, what's the best way to make myself stand out?

I want to add a little flavor to my uniform that everyone at school wears. What do you think I should add to make it more individualized?

If cost is no object, you can have your uniforms tailored so that they fit to perfection. Having your uniforms dry cleaned rather than washing them at home will keep them looking new much longer. At a minimum, make sure your blouses are pressed correctly.

Believe it or not, attitude counts too. If you wear that uniform as though you're ashamed of it, it might as well be made out of sack cloth. Wear it like it's a Vera Wang original though, and you will stand out, no doubt about it.

The first thing you need to do is make sure that your school allows the things you want to do. As someone else has stated, the whole point of a uniform is to make you look like everyone else, but you can still add a little of your own personality.

If you are allowed to wear make-up, do so and look natural. You do not want to look like a clown. You can add little things like belts, necklaces, bracelets, stick pins and broaches. Do you wear a cap of some kind? If you do, ask if you can add special touches. You could add broach, feathers or even beads. If you can wear scarfs, you can really change the look of an outfit by adding a colorful one or a patterned one.
Are you allowed to wear decorations on your shoes? you can add some really neat pins to your shoes.
If you are allowed to wear colored socks or hose, that changes things also. If not, ask about textured ones in the colors you have to wear.

Your hair needs to be kept neat, but you can change styles. Can you add hair pieces to make it longer? you can really change your appearance by changing your hair everyday. Wear a feather in it if allowed or braid a strand of beads into it.

What ever you decide, do not look sloppy. Do not wear your shirt pulled out and your skirt hicked up to your bottom, That makes people think you are trashy.

I wear pins with everything as my signature thing. Even Walmart now has many nice rhinestone pins available! Start by buying some white/clear & ones that go with whatever color your uniforms are. 3 -5 should be enough to switch around without getting bored!

Wear many accessories with it... nice makeup and hairstyle... Try a headband... Be creative! Wear a scarf or something...
I don't know how your uniform is like, but if I did, I could have make you a perfect fashionable uniform so that everybody could admire you.

Wear jewelry, you could add something to your shirt, like if you have a picket you could sew a red heart to it. And if you wear a shirt you could wear stockings of your school colors. What ever feels like you, just make sure everything matches.
