Both of the major political parties hurl insults against the other, because its easier to just respond with mindless rhetorical attacks than to actually stop and address the issues on their merits.

Because many Republicans cannot accept responsibility in the current administration. The conserves blame Clinton for 9/11 stating they didn't arrest bin Laden. I don't see bush arresting him. They blame Clinton for the recession we had. The recession occurred AFTER Clinton left office and WHILE bush cut taxes for the rich. It goes on and on. Now I'm not going to say that Democrats don't blame Republicans for things they do, but the Republicans are in office right now. Somebody there needs to accept some responsibility.

Republicans have become masters of propoganda. The sound byte has become the sole educational tool of many Americans -- the same ones who are proud to call themselves Rush Limbaugh's "dittoheads" and keep the hate-riddled Ann Coulter in business. Radio and television are now filled with conservative personalities like O'Reilly and Limbaugh, while liberal personalities, like Michael Moore, do not have such mainstream presence.
All the while the Republican-led myth that the media is liberal stays widely-believed. In fact, most mass media is controlled by just a handful of corporations, and the majority of the CEO's and owners are Republican, not liberal.
The propoganda campain has been successful. Most people who support him actually know very little about Bush and his administration. For example, a recent poll among conservatives showed that 62% of them still believe Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. It has somehow become "unpatriotic" to question anything the President does.
"Unpatriotic" has become interchangeable with "liberal" in the Republican lexicon. This administration, in particular, enjoys mixing its propoganda with fear -- hence the fervent support for the Patriot Act among conservatives. Blindly following their leader, they are willing to sacrifice personal freedoms to find the ghost in the closet. They are willing to see young men and women killed -- proudly displaying their yellow magnetic stickers on their SUV's -- simply because the President says they should be proud to send their young off to death.
And Cindy Sheehan becomes the enemy -- the mother who found her son's death unnecessary -- is now a cog in the propoganda machine. A crazed liberal.....look at her, insisting on meeting the President, asking for accountability, what kind of patriot is she?

that's the character of the beast. As a republican, i visit blame the democrats for each thing it incredibly is faulty. As a democrat, you will blame the republicans for each thing it incredibly is faulty. Now to verify that us to try this, i could desire to think of it is your fault and you are able to desire to think of that's my fault. So is going the international of political finger pointing.

You must have been hibernating........it's the
other way around. The Democrats (liberals) have
blamed Bush for everything that has happened.
He seemed to know about 911 before it even
happened, he was to blame for Hurricane Katrina
and the ensuing floods, he's at fault for Abugrab,
it's his war in Iraq, and he's apparently responsible
for global warming too according to Democrats.
