Wireless Connection not working?

I currently live in a hotel, and the room have wireless net connections. I can't seem to get my xbox to read the connection, and I don't know why. Can anyone help me?

hotels and buildings like that set their networks to only work with web pages and stuff like that. they do not allow gaming
