Oh, but they do! Doubles at least. The lady's doubles championships at Wimbledon this year were won by Yan and Zheng (both Chinese) and last year one of the men's doubles champions was Wesley Moodie of South Africa. South Africa has produced other champions but no names come to mind immediately. Japan too.
I would attribute a lack of success in the singles arena to the fact that the sport just isn't as big over there. It's growing quickly however, and I'll bet it's just a matter of time. But I'll almost guarantee you it won't come from the likes of Paradorn Srichaphan or Sania Mirza!
