Get some Lostprophets, Sum 41, maybe even some Blink 182. Hawthorne Heights would be good, too. You could also think outside the box and sing some Metric, Rage Against the Machine, etc. Don't sing the song personally just because it sounds punk or rock. Listen to the lyrics, too.

The Used, Motion City Soundtrack, From First to Last, Leftover Crack, etc.

So are you like in a cover band?
I'd suggest singing songs by bands like
Motion City Soundtrack.
Billy Talent
My American Heart
Circa survive
The Receiving End of Sirens.
Those would probably be the best. A suggestion: don't sing songs by major bands like some of the ones you listed like TBS, Panic, AFI because if you're starting out and you sing songs by bands like that people will most likely critisize you, like saying its not as good as the original. So its best yoou start off with small bands and as you progress move on to bigger ones. Or you can right your own lyrics.

i hear to not something yet punk music, and Avril isn't punk. hear to bands like the Distillers and X-Ray Spex for woman punk vocals. its not annoying to sing punk, you in simple terms might desire to rather be passionate with regard to the music and the lyrics you write. You arent going to be punk with the help of pretending to be some thing your not, so its terrific to surrender in case you dont appreciate genuine punk.

Perhaps some real punk like Sex Pistols, Ramones, SubHumans, The Clash instead of that wannabe fratboy garbage.
