I have a "friend" who dressed like a boy and wore dorky clothes and nobody liked her and me being myself became her "freind". I thought it was the right thing to do. Once my parents and there oarents became friends she cam over to my house to do homework and while I was sitting on the ground doing my homework she would go thru my clothes. Which I didn't mind very much. Then she asked where I get all of my clothes and I would tell her not thinking nothing would come of it. Then the next day of school she is wearing "Hollister" (the brand she supposably hated). Then the next couple of days she wears exactly what I do like Hollister, Abercrombe, billabong, Roxy, Converse stuff like that! Then the next day I go to her house she has the same color room as me, (I have lime green with Hot pink polka dots) ( Didn't think anyone else would have it) and her room is just like mine.....
I don't know what to do. My teacher says to let her find herself mom, need to tell truth dad, bit the bulit SOL

You two sound like friends. Ask her, in a friendly way, to please stop.

Don't be rude about it at all.

It may be a self-confidence issue. Tell her that she is her own person and that she is cool in her own way. Encourage her to be unique, think of her own fashions, etc.

Sounds like she admires you very much. You may be a mentor to her. She probably didn't have a very good female figure in her life, therefore, she liked what she saw in you and decided to emulate you. You should talk to her and suggest that you find a style for herself. Ask her if she'd like to go shopping with you and help her find her own style.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so this girl is really flattering you. It sounds like she really needed a role model and had no idea of how to dress, etc. before she met you. I would keep my distance from her from now on. You have given her enough "lessons" and you need to move on.

Immitation is the sincerist form of flattery......be flattered, not threatened by her newfound sense of style. Take her under your wing and be good to her. It will come back to you in the long run. We all want to accepted, to be admired, to be respected, to have the approval of others, to feel important and welcome, and like we belong.......Give to others what you want from them. It's good karma. Don't be so cruel, judgemental, exclusive, and spiteful. You will later be ashamed when it all comes back to you times three. You will feel good making others feel good about themselves. You will make yourself more popular by noticing the good qualities about other people, and making positive comments or compliments to them. You will make people feel good around you, and they will want you around....
