I still can't get my portable storage device to work on Windows 98 SE?

I've installed a driver. But the device is not showing up in my computer. I also have a PDA that I sync up using my usb port. Could there be a conflict and how do I fix this?

I would just say to upgrade to winxp only cause win98 is outdated and has alot of issues with todays more advance usb devices.
