Is it worth it if :

Costs a weekend away from work, and a $250 plane ticket?

Went to a very small school, probably won't have one past this 10 year one, but only ~20 ppl will probably attend. Parents live in the area so I could visit them, and others, while up there...

Hmm.

reunion wont be worth it. I also went to a small school and I still live in the town I went to school and I wish I wouldn't have went to mine. I am not a broke down loser nor I have not gained an emmence amout of weight ,either. It just seems like the people who show up are as fake as when they were in H.S. I look back and wonder how I was ever friends with most of them!!! Visit your parents, maybe try and hook up with someone you would really like to see while there and screw the reunion!

That is a tough question. You can only answer it. I was not involved in anything in my school. I never went to any of the reunions until my 25th. I always regretted not going to them. When I finally did, I was glad. I don't keep in touch, now, didn't then, but we had a great time and it was fun to see everyone.

It depends on how you feel about your old classmates. I never did keep in contact with them after I graduated, so why would I want to go there 20 years later and "catch up"?

Seeing your parents is always a plus!

You'll also want to look your best so that may entail some additional expense. How badly do you want to see and/or reconnect with high school friends is the real question. If you can afford it and you want to do it, why not?
