For a Super Spring Cleaning of your gold and silver jewelry, mix 1cup of clean warm water with ½ cup of ammonia. Soak your jewelry in this solution for about 15 minutes; gently scrub with a soft, clean toothbrush, then rinse in warm water. Air dry on an absorbent paper towel. When thoroughly dry, you may lightly buff with a soft flannel cloth.

this may sound strange but put together baking soda and club soda and soak for about 5 minutes if the jewerly needs further more cleaning than soak even longer or buy a silver cleaner.
heres a place to get a cheap jewerly cleaner that works on all stones and all metals

Toothpaste, I tried the gel, it still works but not as well as the paste and I can assure you it will smell better than vinegar.

you can use your hands because the oils on ur hands take off the tarnish and then you need to dry it off with a p.t.

If its just tarnished I just rub the tarnish off with a napkin or just your finger, it just rubs right off.
