Hm. I'd be careful cutting down on the watering...here's what I found:

"In the spring there is considerable yellowing of the leaves, followed by leaf drop. This is natural and should not cause concern, as bamboos are evergreen and naturally renew their leaves in the spring. They should loose their leaves gradually as they are replaced by fresh new ones. In the spring on a healthy bamboo there should be a mixture of green leaves, yellow leaves and newly unfurling leaves"

Gievn that these are indoor plants, I would expect a similar "healthiness", but maybe not a springtime yellowing.

My indoor one has some leaves that yellow and I simply clip them off. The dry climate here has led some to turn brown on the edges as well - which is unattractive - and somethign you should watch out for if you cut back on watering.

Hope this helps!

Bamboo no longer meant to get chilly? more effective tell that to the varieties that improve in the Himalayas and their freezing temperatures. it ought to help in case you had a photo of it or knew what kind bamboo. The "fortunate bamboo' yet another author suggested isn't even one of those bamboo. If that is a authentic bamboo and also you've were given it in the homestead i ought to suspect that in itself is the problem. Bamboos don't like indoor environments. in the homestead, they should be considered non everlasting visitors. in case you obtain it as a houseplant, you are able to wager that is not any longer a authentic bamboo.
